THE UNIVERSITY OF BURDWAN-

Assistant Librarian Grade-II : 

                  Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up the following post on temporary basis in prescribed form to be downloaded from the university website www.buruniv.ac.in from 11/02/2016 to 29/02/2016. Completed application in prescribed form along with photo-copies of all credentials has to be submitted in the office of the Registrar from 11/02/2016 to 29/02/2016 (up to 4 p.m.) [through proper channel in case of already employed candidates]. No TA/DA is admissible for attending tests/examinations and interview, if called for. It should be noted that possession of minimum eligibility shall not confer any right to be called for tests/examinations and interview. The posts will be filled up by observing the reservation of quota as per rules. Incomplete applications are likely to be rejected. 

Downloaded form shall accompany a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, the University of Burdwan of requisite price as mentioned below: 

1. General category .. Rs. 250/- 
2. OBC category .. Rs. 150/- 
3. SC, ST category .. Rs. 100/-

Applications in prescribed form, downloadable from University website: www.buruniv.ac.in, are invited for admission to Ph.D. Course Work Programme during the year 2015-2016 in the subjects mentioned below from 21.09.2015 to 07.10.2015, between 11a.m. and 2 p.m. on all working days.
Information sheet, containing other relevant details and Hall Ticket have to be downloaded along with application form.

Application fees should be remitted in mode of Demand Draft of Rs. 450/- (Rupees four hundred and fifty only) in favour of The Finance Officer, the University of Burdwan, payable at SBI B.U. branch.

Subjects: Lib.&Inf.Science (09)[The number within brackets denotes the actual vacancy]

Eligibility: Candidates holding Masters Degree in one of the above subjects or in allied subject, with at least having 55% marks or marks of similar value may apply for admission to the Ph. D. Course Work Programme.
No candidates having M.A./M.Sc. or any P.G. degree from the open university and through Distance Education mode would be eligible to apply for pursuing a Ph.D. Degree. Selection in Course Work Programme shall not ensure admission to Ph. D Programme.
