Market Related Basic Salary Temporary junior level position in the Education industry.
Function: To represent the Information Centre in delivering a high standard of quality service through performing a variety of customer service, circulation and technical support duties.
Requirements:
•Minimum requirements: Third year student.
•Minimum experience required is one (1) years working experience
•Working experience in an academic or corporate library / information centre will be an advantage.
•Knowledge of basic library methods, techniques and procedures.
•Knowledge of computerized circulation systems.
•Knowledge of the Dewey decimal classification System.
•Basic business knowledge.
•Knowledge of search techniques
•Knowledge of basic library methods, techniques and procedures.

•Assist students and staff in the circulation (issues, renewals, reservations and fine collection) of materials
•Registration of patrons on the library management system.
•The follow-up of overdue material and blacklisting of patrons.
•Assist with interlibrary loan requests.
•Assist with serials check-ins and binding.
•Assist patrons with information queries.
•Maintain the additional course readings collection.
•Maintain the Information Centre’s in-house document repository.
•The repair, shelving, straightening and shelf reading of all materials.
•Perform retail service in in-house campus store.
•Performing a variety of clerical and computer-related tasks as assigned
•Playing a critical role in the development of an information culture in the business school.
•Registration of patrons on the library management system.
